I Lift My Hands In Faith, Lord
Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. (Hebrews 11:1)
Where is my faith Lord
Where is my faith
If I bring to You my mountains
Will they be removed
If I bring my hills to climb
Will I walk them in my prime
Where is my faith Lord
Where is my faith
I can't see You
But I know You're there
I can't see You
But I do not dare
Not to trust in You Lord
Not to trust in You
Where is my faith Lord
Where is my faith
If I bring to You my valleys
Will they be smoothed
If I bring the pits to climb
Will I jump them in my prime
Where is my faith Lord
Where is my faith
I can't see You
But I know You're there
I can't see You
But I do not dare
Not to trust in You Lord
Not to trust in You
Where is my faith Lord
Where is my faith
If I bring to You my hope
Will my assurance be strong
The evidence I may not see
Teach me Lord to trust in Thee
Where is my faith Lord
Where is my faith
I can't see You
But I know You're there
I can't see You
But I do not dare
Not to trust in You Lord
Not to trust in You
I trust this little poem will give a synopsis of the importance of faith in the believers life. You see, the eleventh chapter of the book of Hebrews is known as the "Hall of Faith". Or, the "Walk of Faith".
This eleventh chapter describes faith as the assurance (or reality) of the things which we hope for, and the conviction of things not seen. In other words, faith gives reality and proof of things unseen, treating them as if they were already objects of sight rather than of hope. And as in (Hebrews 11:6) it is impossible to please God without our faith.
