What is PRIDE

arrogance, conceit, smugness, self-importance, egotism, vanity, immodesty, superiority.
WE ARE ALL GUILTY OF THIS.
*Proverbs 16:5-6 WEB says everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to YAHWEH. THEY SHALL CERTAINLY NOT BE UNPUNISHED. By mercy and truth iniquity is atoned for. By the FEAR OF YAHWEH men depart from EVIL.

Every year in Spokane and around the world men and women in the LGBT community celebrate their freedom by having a parade and party afterwards and cruises in some areas. They are celebrating there freedom from what they call discriminations which Christians and others have committed against them for years.

*PROVERBS 21:2-4 SAYS PEOPLE may think they are doing what is right, but the Lord examines the heart. The Lord is more pleased when we do what is just and right than when we give him sacrifices. HAUGHTY EYES, A PROUD HEART, AND EVIL ACTIONS ARE ALL SIN.

SO WHAT ROUTE HAVE YOU TAKEN? ARE YOU SHINING THE SAME LIGHT CHRIST DID OR ARE YOU HATING THE PEOPLE HE CREATED AND MAKING IT SO THAY NEVER COME BACK TO GOD?

This next passage doesn’t seem to fit yet. In my life I felt as though my attractions to men had sent me so far from God that he wouldn’t be able to find me if I did try to come home. I believed and then I turned away and pretended he wasn’t there. And know that he did take me back and gave me a new heart. He is real and there is nothing he won’t do to help me/OR YOU glorify his name.

Nehemiah 1:9 but if you return to Me and keep My commandments and do them, though those of you who have been scattered were in the most remote part of the heavens, I will gather them from there and will bring them to the place where I have chosen to cause my name to dwell. “YHWH...EL ELOHIM...JESUS...YASHUA, IS LOOKING FOR YOU TO COME HOME”

I am lucky I had LEARND OF JESUS as a child and he never left me even though I was letting homosexual attractions be my idol. And I gave in to the lust and even gave in to the lie that I was born that way. My life was how there is a better lover one bath house, one day, one more night away.

It wasn’t till I hit my 40s that I realized my identity was in GOD. My pride belongs to him and him alone and once I asked him to make me a new heart, that is when he started to change me for the better, and I realized that the Lord let me be, yet nudged me in the direction he wanted me to go, to be his because he paid for me on the cross. I belong to him.

*I AM A CHRISTIAN and that means I was created to glorify the name of God. And yes it is that simple. Ask yourself if what you are doing right this minute is glorifying God. If it is, good...very good. If it is not then stop and do what is glorifying to GOD.

*I TELL YOU THE TRUTH you are passionate for Christ and you go out and show pride by hating. And they show pride by rubbing it in the face of all the city. We both are at fault God wants us to be one as Jesus is one with God. 1 PETER 5:8-11 Curb every passion, and be on alert. Your great accuser, the devil is going about like a roaring lion to see whom he can devour.

*Matthew 5;44-45 but I say to you love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your father in heaven; for he makes his son rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

*My point is show mercy and kindness to all. Kill sin with love, not hate. Honestly, GOD will destroy all sin without help from us so if we just love one another and bring in the lost sheep with patience and understanding, we would get all his sheep back.

*Lamentations 3:40 Let us examine and probe our ways, And let us return to the LORD.
*What can we do as Christians to control our pride and show others we love them?
*How can we listen to the Lord and follow his direction on matters of pride?
*What prayers can we use to humble our pride and help those that are lost find Jesus...Elohim?
