by Alex Reece
(Fort Wayne, IN)
Falsely convicted,
Harshly restricted,
Nailed in vain to the cross.
Vainly depicted,
Always conflicted,
He counts it as gain, not loss.
Redeeming us gently,
Believing us mentally,
Always understanding our sin,
Yet He had none,
God’s only Son,
He supported us when we gave in.
Eternally giving,
Externally living,
He came to live, yet to die.
His life led the way,
His death made it safe,
And now on His path we rely.
