WE HOLD THESE TRUTHS

We hold these truths
We all were inalienably created by His perfect hand
Our equality was self-evidently given by His good plan
We hold these truths
By Him we now have life, liberty, and the happiness stand
By Him our secure just rights will always forever abound
We hold these truths
As false governments become destructive as to expand
We shall secure our rights as our freedom we will brand
We hold these truths
We have the right of a new foundation and to evil disband
Prudence indeed will dictate that good is always in demand
We hold these truths
When long term abuses attempt to abolish freedoms land
It is our sworn duty to force the immoral threats to all remand
We hold these truths
When we see vile abuses gather speed and harm firsthand
Our task is to disallow these moves to continue to withstand
We hold these truths
Of such was the patient sufferance of the Colonies strand
And now is the necessity to give constraint to our heartland
We hold these truths
While history looks to repeat our past failed injures offhand
We now look to the supreme judge of the world's command
We hold these truths

Have you read the " Declaration of Independence" lately? As a Christian, who believes in our countries freedoms, I just love this document.

I love those famous words which state, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness ".

And I love the closing statement, " And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other, our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor".
