(Kissimmee FL)
I may not look like it but I am a soldier
I don’t wear army colors, or carry guns
Or fight for any specific country on this Earth
My fight isn’t against other countries, or the
Men of this Earth.
My fight is against the darkness, and
The flesh and desires.
The darkness is the domain of the
Enemy the devil.
The enemy doesn’t use weapons like
Guns knives, or any other material weapon.
The enemy uses weapons of pride, lust
Greed, deception, and doubt.
Every day I have to kill these things
My armor can’t be seen, nor can my weapons
My armor is invisible, my weapons are in the vapors.
My armor and weapons may be that, but they are more effective
Than the weapons of the Earth.
My armor is mentioned in Ephesians 6:10-18
It is the armor of God.
The strongest armor in the Universe,
My God and Father gave me this armor
When I was born into His family.
But don’t think, that this life is easy
Or that I will have no problems
As the enemy attacks everyday
Every day I get bombarded by the
Lies of the enemy, I get dragged into the
Depths of the storms of this Life
But because I am a child of God,
I am a victor
Not because of who I am, but because
Of what He did.
So even if the devil knocks me
Down, I may be down for a little
But I ain’t defeated, I ain’t dead
Because Jesus Christ my God
Keeps picking me up
And dusting me off so,
I keep fighting this war, and will
Keep on fighting until the
Day I die.
