Context :
• Here we 2 text before us
• One Spoken by the Apostle Paul
• And the other By the Lord Jesus on the sermon the Mount
• In two different passages in the bible
• One that says, we should be always thinking of things above
• And the other, says seek ye first the kingdom of God
• These two passages are very beautiful for us to think about this morning

Introduction:
Let me ask you the question this morning, what have you been think of this week ?
• Let me ask you another question this morning, What are you thinking of Now ?
• What is constantly on your mind ?
• Is it things here on here on earth ?
• Or is it constantly in heaven ?

• The Reason I chose this topic this morning is, a few weeks ago I had a Conversation with a person accusing me that I don’t have a social life, and that’s why the young people did not want me to be there Pastor. The young people want a social life, and enjoy the things of this world, like drinking, going to nightclubs, playing poker machines and many other things.

This morning I would like to share a few things for our encouragement

1. What is this text ?
a. It’s a simple command
b. Easy to remember
c. But hard to do

2. Why did Paul and Jesus say these words ?
a. So that we think of heaven all the time
b. Heaven is real
c. One thing God cant do is Lie
d. Because they are both in a relationship with God
e. To tells us about heaven
f. That we don’t forget to think about heaven all the time
g. So that we may be encouraged that one day we will go to heaven

3. Why think about Heaven ?
a. Because we are going go there.
b. Paul always thought about heaven and talked about heaven
c. Jesus thought about heaven all the time,
d. Jesus always talked about the kingdom of heaven
i. Jesus said 12 times in the New Testament The kingdom of heaven is like
ii. In the Lords Prayer Jesus talked about heaven “Our father who art in heaven”
e. The Bible Talks about heaven a lot
f. In the Old testament we see scene’s of heaven
g. We see scene’s Heaven in Isaiah
h. Jeremiah
i. Ezekiel
j. And the book of Revelation

4. Why people don’t think about heaven ?
a. Because some don’t believe there is a heaven
b. Because we cant see heaven therefore we don’t think about it
c. They are wrapped up to much in this world
d. Sadly not even Christian think about heaven anymore
e. Sadly Heaven is not preached on the pulpit anymore
f. Its all about this world and how to get blessed in it
g. Some people don’t think about heaven because they are to depressed
h. Some people don’t think about heaven because there enjoying life in this world
i. People make this world heaven
j. Because they may not be a Christian
k. They don’t pray
l. They don’t read there bible
m. They don’t come to church
n. They don’t have fellowship with other Christians
o. They work to much 
5. What sign does it Show if you are not thinking about heaven ?
a. That you may not be close to God
b. That you have backslidden from the Lord
c. I can know how close you are to the Lord in part to Lord by the way you talk
d. If you are close to the Lord you will always

ii. And about heaven

In Conclusion

Why have I said all this this morning

• To Remind you of heaven
• To remind you to think about heaven
• To make others think about heaven
• Everything you do on earth will effect you in heaven
• If you are faithful on earth
• You reward will be great
• If don’t think about heaven and do the wrong thing
• You reward will be small
• If you you don’t think about heaven and do small thing in your Christian life
• You will called the least in the kingdom of heaven
• If you are faithful
• You will called the greatest in the kingdom of heaven

18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
