Peace Be Still
Speak softly as the night fears rush, My spirit not to crush
Peace Be Still
Calm raging waters of my heart, Let rushing winds of sin depart
Peace Be Still
Never to go from You astray, As tightly in your arms I stay
Peace Be Still
With the day break proudly shinning, In Your Spirit now abiding
Peace Be Still
Looking to join Your upward call, Never more the earthly draw
Peace Be Still
So let the storms rage on, In Your good time I will be gone
Peace Be Still
Are you ready for life's storm, In Him your life to conform
Peace Be Still
Just take God's free grace, by your faith sin He will replace
Peace Be Still
Shout Hallelujah in your praise, as the Spirit sets your heart ablaze
Peace Be Still
In (Matthew 8: 23-27) The Holy Scripture tells of Jesus’ calming the storm on the lake. From these few verses, we can rightly conclude a couple of truths. 1) That Jesus, as the son of God, has authority over the elements of nature, and 2) That the disciples may have had weak faith for being afraid.
We all have had fearful occasions in our lives, when from a human standpoint, we just knew the whole world was collapsing around us.
The Apostle Paul had these moments, as well. That's why, under the direction of God's Holy Spirit, he penned these words. (2 Timothy 1:7)
You see, our all knowing Heavenly Father knows our fears before they are fixed in our imagination. That's why, by His perfect love, all our fears can be conquered. (1 John 4:18)
Yes, the encouragement of Jesus is still as real today, as it was in olden times. Peace Be Still. (Mark 4:35-41)
