Romans 13:1-2 1Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves."
I am very much concerned with the direction this great country of ours is headed. Never before in my life time, have I seen such political party-controlled chaos. Such controlled disorder as total bedlam and confusion, the results of which are being discussed or rapidly enacted now by our nation's powers-that-be.
Never have I seen such a deliberate, purposeful action of government in direct conflict with such Godly principles as set forth in this introductory Scripture.
"..... the individual's proper attitude to the state has always been set forth, there is no authority except from God. Obviously, this does not say that only certain forms of government are ordained of God. God established and upholds the principles of government even though some governments do not fulfill His desires." (Dr. Charles Ryrie).
America’s founding fathers had the presence of mind to honor and seek God in regard to these principles. This is very evident in America's Declaration of Independence.
We, therefore, the Representatives of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the World for the Rectitude of our Intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly Publish and Declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be, Free and Independent States; that they are absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political Connection between them and the State of Great-Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm Reliance on the Protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor. (Closing paragraph of the Declaration of Independence)
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all politicians, all governments, and all judges looked to the Supreme Judge of the World to rectify their intentions? And wouldn’t it also be the same if these entities had a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence with respect of all duties preformed?
From a godly respect, as a red-blooded inhabitant of this great God-inspired country of ours, I write this blog as I can’t help but be concerned with what is taking place within America.
The way our government operates is rapidly departing from the Constitution by becoming less limited and thus our liberties are becoming less secure.
So, I get to the point of this blog. I ask you, my fellow Americans, what’s with this notion of packing the United States Supreme Court and changing the total complement of judges to fit a particular political persuasion? Just what is the motive behind such political action? And where will this aberrant political action end? Will it end with controlled chaos? May God forbid!
I understand The Supreme Court compliment has remained the same for some 150 years. And during this period of time, these constitutionally directed court judges’ influences have swayed back and forth many a time.
Why change it now? And what about the future? Will the compliance of its judges now change each time an opposing political party controls the power, as a partisan political move? Where will it all end, once this political maneuver is started? I realize just where it will end, is strictly a GOK (God only knows) question. But it's worth discussing.
The significance of such a political move is certainly arguable. The old cliché comes to mind, “If it isn’t broken, why fix it?”
Our founding documents have all leaned toward the Judeo-Christion beliefs. What has changed our society? The great principles of right and wrong never alter; they are as everlasting as He who gave them. Why turn from God’s ordained principles now? God certainly has not changed. He is and always will be the Supreme Judge of the World.(Malachi 2:17)
So, what about it America? Where do you stand on this America’s survival?
“LORD, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, LORD. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.” (Habakkuk 3:2)

What Does the Constitution Say?
While Article III of the U.S. Constitution establishes the Supreme Court, it also gives Congress broad discretion for establishing the structure of the judicial branch. The first court had six justices, before President John Adams and the Congress reduced the number of justices to five. The number of judges then fluctuated until it hit nine in 1869, where it has remained ever since.
So, it wouldn't take a constitutional amendment to change the number of justices. Congress would simply have to pass a law, and the president would need to sign it.
Thus, in conclusion, by prayerfully signifying to the above dictation of this blog, it is my prayer that the providential desire of our Supreme Judge of the world continue to bless this great country of ours. God bless America.
My parting prayer.
Father God, I’m so unsettled within my spirit, my soul trembles within me. I know You are still our all-powerful, all-knowing Redeemer. I know You still place the just and unjust in authority according to Your perfect will. (Daniel 2:21). I know You reward good and punish evil (Genesis 12:3) with respect to Your people Israel. And I know from personal ongoing experience, that You love and protect Your own. (John 3:16) Thank You for Jesus and Your Holy Spirit to lead me and guide me into all truth, In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!
