It only takes one man of God
to stand against a society that defies
all that our Creator would have us do.
One man may spark a glimmer of hope
into the hearts and minds of people who die
daily because there is no way to break through.
One man may lead a multitude of souls
away from chaos, destruction and death
to a path of order, strength, hope and life.
One man may think he is only influencing
a few among his acquaintances, but a reality check
shows that those few each touch a few and so spreads the fire.
It only takes one man of God
to live out his faith daily living
that sets him apart from his neighbors.
One man may take the time to pray,
thanking the Father for all he has
including his family and the fruits of his labors.
One man may keep his word when given,
not just by paying his bills, but in small things
that matter only to the one to whom it has been pledged.
One man may show kindness to a friend
that cheers his heart and brings his soul
back from despair; from almost going over the edge.
It only takes one man of God
to be an example to those around him
in devotion, faith, love and honesty.
One man may keep a young life
from going bad with kind words of advice
resulting in prevention of a personal tregedy.
One man may show stength of character
in a time of crisis when others fear,
showing that all is not lost after all.
One man may give God the glory
even if things look dark and drear;
others, then seeing his faith to their knees will fall.
It only takes one man of God
to be faithful to Him at all times
and the world will know there is a way
to live that offers hope, joy, peace and contentment
that they cannot find unless they know this man's God.
