Once I wandered in my pity and pride
Caring not my Lord suffered and died.
Then on bended knee, His love I did see
As His mercy was shown there to me.
On my knees, On my knees,
The old account was settled on my knees.
And the record's clear today
For He took my sins away
On my knees, On my knees.
Praise His name I now am His own
I have the right to His heavenly throne,
For on bended knee I gave my plea
As His grace was given freely to me.
On my knees, On my knees
The old account was settled on my knees.
And the record's clear today
For He took my sins away
On my knees, On my knees.
(Praise and Worship Lyric Sample)
"Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn — shout for joy before the Lord, the King." (Psalm 98:4-6)
King David, being inspired by God's Holy Spirit, was one of the first positive arrangers of Praise and Worship music. His Psalms accurately gave us the true gospel. And now, in our Twenty-First Century, Praise and Worship music continues to spread God's positive direction for our lives.
True Bible-based Praise and Worship should portray the basic fundamentals of our Christian lives. To accomplish this relationship of Praise and Worship, God and He alone must be the first priority of our lives. In our worship of Him and the intimacy that comes through such worship, praise for Him will always naturally follow.
So next time your church worship leader guides the congregation in true Bible-based P&W singing, simply join in by prayerfully singing from the heart, by raising your hands if you feel led, and enjoy the wondrous working of God's Holy Spirit through music. Amen!
