The light shines through the glass reflecting the multitude of colors that permate a dark soul
My clothes hang on me like dirty little rags
Betrayed by a faithless kiss, I walk steps that are completely numbered
Backs were turned as I sought refuge from fellow travelers
A product of wrong choices, I search for the light that will give me hope
Condemned to hell by many who never understood
I craved love and dignity, but recieved verses instead
I am always your son however much of a prodigal I am
Days are waning as my time draws to a close
My voyage has been a discovery of love lost
While I lie in bed too weak to move
I will pray with what's left from my lips
That arms of strength and love will greet me and welcome me home
