A NICE PRAISE AND WORSHIP LYRIC
Verse 1
I've seen the glory of Your grace Lord
When by Your mercy You took my place
You took my place on Calvary's tree
Now I'm redeemed and now set free
I've seen the glory of Your grace Lord
When by Your mercy You took my place
Now I'm resting in Your love Lord
Just to look upon Your face
For it was by Your loving mercy
By Your mercy mixed with grace
Verse 2
I've seen the glory of Your grace Lord
When by Your mercy You took my place
You came down from Your glory above
Just to give me Your unfailing love
I've seen the glory of Your grace Lord
When by Your mercy You took my place
Now I'm resting in Your love Lord
Just to look upon Your face
For it was by Your loving mercy
By Your mercy mixed with grace
Verse 3
I've seen the glory of Your grace Lord
When by Your mercy You took my place
Just to give Your great compassion
Blotting out all of my transgression
I've seen the glory of Your grace Lord
When Your mercy You took my place
Now I rest in Your love Lord
Just to look upon Your face
For it was by Your loving mercy
By Your mercy mixed with grace
Chorus
I come now to make my plea Lord
I come by Your mercy and Your grace
On Your alter I give it all to Thee Lord
For by Your love You took my place
It was mercy mixed with grace Lord
Yes it was mercy mixed with grace
Ending- Chorus of an old hymn-"At Calvary"- To be sung in original tune.
Mercy there was great, and grace was free;
Pardon, there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found liberty,
At Calvary.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast." (Eph 2:8-9)
Thanks for mercy and thanks for grace. In other words, by His mercy, our living God actually gives us grace. For we can never pay our way to heaven, work our way to heaven, or have a friend get us to heaven. It's simply a free gift from God, for all who will accept His message by faith. So we can never boast of becoming a Christian ( A belief in God's principles) on our own.
Thus, salvation is by grace, through faith. Faith involves knowledge of the gospel (Romans 10:14), acknowledgment of the truth of its message, and personal reception of the Savior (John 1:12).
