A miracle how Jesus and God can be the same
A mystery only by faith can mankind exclaim
Humbled Heaven and Earth was born in a manager
From beginning to end He is the world changer
When just a youth He was about the Father's will
As the religious leaders marveled at His lawful skill
Baptized was He in the river Jordan as wind's breezed
While God the Father exclaimed I am well pleased
At the wedding feast He turned the water into wine
First He did refused but the first miracle not to decline
At thirty His earthly ministry was Heavenly blessed
Giving eternal life to all who would accept and confess
In the name of the Father His praying would claim
Many miracles of which God's word did not all name
In the end He was betrayed by one who kept the purse
As religious leaders thirty pieces of silver did disburse
He was lead to the cross as a sheep to the slaughter
For the sins of one and all He suffered and died a martyr
In three days He arose victorious over Satan's sinful evil
With His faithful followers, and many others He did mingle
The Comforter promise was given to abide in believers hearts
The Holy Spirit would abide forever after He would depart
After proclaiming to someday return He took Heavenly flight
Welcomed by the Father into the Heavens realm of Glory light
Now beloved you may take Gods Grace by faith alone
As in God's word, the Bible, His Salvation is plainly known
So by simply asking turn and accept His hallowed call today
Within may you never more from His blessed presence stray
The following statement is taken from a well know evangelical doctrine.
We believe that there are three persons in the Godhead - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, undivided in essence and co-equal in power and glory.
We believe that in the person of Jesus Christ the Divine and human natures are united, so that He is truly and properly God and truly and properly man.
What do you think ? Is Jesus God in the flesh ? Actually, believing this to be true is the main fundamental issue of the Christian faith. For if Christ was a mere man then all Christians, from the church age on, would have been foolish to believe on Him for the forgiveness of sins. No mortal man could have had every sin, of all mankind, laid on Him to redeem. And no human would have agreed to suffer and die, for the whole world, those he knew and those millions that he never knew. Much less, be risen from the dead, to pay that sin dept. Besides, the idea of Christ being just a man or lesser god would make the total Christian belief ridiculous.
As in any other reasonable Christian agreement, I must go to the scriptures. You see, I do believe the scriptures to be God's inspired word. ( 2 Timothy 3:16 ) ( 2 Peter 1:21 )
So, here goes:
( Isaiah 43:10-11 ) ( Genesis 1:26 ) ( Isaiah 48:16) ( Colossians 2:9 ) ( 1 John 5:7 ) ( John 1:1-3 ) ( John 1:10-13 ) ( Galatians 4:4 ) ( Hebrews 11:3 ) ( Micah 5:2 ) (Isaiah 9:6 ) ( Colossians 1:16 ) ( John 8:58 ) ( Isaiah 7:14 ) ( John 1:18 ) ( 1 Peter 2:21 )9 Hebrews 10:1-10 ) ( 1 John 3:8 )
Well, these scripture proofs should keep you busy for awhile. I'm thoroughly convinced. Jesus is surely God in the flesh, as the poem states. To me, these scriptures prove Jesus is divine, and the divine created all things.
Not only was Jesus fully God, but He was also fully man.( Hebrews 1:8 ) ( Matthew 22:43 )
He grew as a human ( Luke 2:52 )
He had a human body ( Galatians 4:4 )
He had a human soul and spirit ( Matthew 26:38 )
He experienced human traits ( Matthew 4:2 ) ( John 19:28 ) ( John 4:6 ) ( John 11:35 ) ( Hebrews 4:15 )
Now, why did God come to earth in the flesh. You see, from the very beginning of the human civilization , and since the fall of our first parents Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, ( Genesis 3:6 ) all mankind has been born separated from God by sin. And mankind needed a redeemer. ( Genesis 3:15 )
The Old Testament patriotic looked forward to the cross, in trusting God by blood sacrifices. Whereas, from Jesus Christ's sacrificial death on the cross in the New Testament, He became the sacrifice for our sins. In other words, Christ' main purpose for His earthly stay was to save His people from their sins. ( Matthew 1:21) This includes Jew's and Gentiles alike. ( Ephesians 2:14 )
What about you ? Jesus was born, lived, died and rose, for you. Was His death on the cross, for you, in vain ? Did He rise from the death, for you, in vain ? ( 1 Cor 15:1-5 )
You see, all you need do is except God's free grace, through your faith. ( Ephesians 2:8-9 )
