For God Looks On The Heartl
In God's big mirror, I see both day and night
In God's big mirror, I see all the sin I fight
In God's big mirror, I see my Spiritual flight
In God's big mirror, I see in weakness contrite
In God's big mirror, I see strength will ignite
In God's big mirror, I see by trust I'm free of sin
In God's big mirror, I see devotion to worship Him
In God's big mirror, I see heavens flight begin
In God's big mirror, I see a shinny crown I'll win.
In God's big mirror, I see all who have entered in
In God's big mirror, I see some friends despite
In God's big mirror, I see other friends delight
In God's big mirror, I see the Savior will indict
In God's big mirror, I see the Savior will alight
In God's big mirror, I see His justice is in sight
"If someone listens to God's word but doesn't do what it says, he is like a person who looks at his face in a mirror". ( James 1:23),
I don't know about you, but when I first get up in the morning, it's hard for me to want to look in that mirror. For you see, that mirror doesn't lie.
God's big mirror, is somewhat like that early morning look see. It is not a respecter of personalities. It will always call it like He sees it. And, this does embarrass us somewhat occasionally. This is simply the Holy Spirit at work, in our lives.
"This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds" Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more." And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin. ( Hebrews 10:15-18)
Yes, God does have a "Big Mirror" and this mirror's purpose it two fold.
(1) To love His Children ( followers of Christ) and to keep His children in fellowship with Him.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
(2)To convict and save the unbelievers from their sin.
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance". ( 2 Peter 3:9)
What about you, how are you looking in that big mirror?
