I Corinthians 16:9 - For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.
Introduction: Christians are fond of talking about "open doors." The open door you stand before may have been opened by God. Of course, the Enemy can open doors too! The following are considerations one should make when standing before an open door.
1. Consider Providence (Jeremiah 10:23)
O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
2. Consider Preparation (Ephesians 2:10)
What has God uniquely prepared you to do?
3. Consider Problems (Acts 20:28-30)
Notice that problems will come from the inside and the outside of the Church. Generally speaking, believers have the capacity to inflict more hurt on you than unbelievers. Read Ephesians 4:27 and following.
4. Consider Provision (Psalm 37:1-5)
Remember - if God ordered it then He will pay for it!
5. Consider Potential (Ephesians 2:10)
What can you do in the Kingdom that no one else is doing?
