Dear Lord Please Help Me
Weary souls burdened with great sorrow
Who's life is now filled with dismay
Knowing not where to find peace and gladness
Have you talked to the Lord today
If the cross that you bear seems heavy
Remember that Christ passed this way
He will help you carry it gladly
Have you talked to the Lord today
Will you bow now in full consecration
And let the dear Lord have your sway
He'll remove every burden that hinders
Have you talked to the Lord today
Have you talked to the Lord today
Your grief and your uttmost fear
Will all surely disappear
Have you talked to the Lord today
How often do you talk with your close friends? Is it daily, weekly or only when you are in trouble? What about the friend, who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24), our Lord Jesus? When's the last time you talked to Him?
What a Friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry Ev'rything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry Ev'rything to God in prayer!
REMEMBER!
"I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you.
I will give you hope and a good future.
Then you will call my name.
You will come to me and pray to me, and I
will listen to you. You will search for me.
And when you search for me with all your heart,
you will find me". (Jeremiah 29:11-13)
