Ezekiel 36:26-28
As Christians, our souls are saved, and how great does it feel that we have already got the victory as God has won it for us? But I don’t want to stop at being saved. God doesn’t just want to ‘save’ you.
He wants more; he wants to have a fulfilling, personal relationship with you. God wants your heart! Have you given your heart to God? By that I mean, have you surrendered to God, are you willing to know God?
God wants to change your life and ‘show’ you off to the world because he deeply loves you. There is a belief that there are only a few ‘super’ Christians who have ‘powers’ to communicate with God or hear from him, etc. But I can assure you, that it is far from the truth.
God is easy and simple to get to, yet we as humans make everything complicated! I will just say this, if you can get personal with God, if you acknowledge him in your daily lifestyle, I can guarantee that you will have a life transformation and people will notice that, because God will be pouring out blessing onto you!
Do you want to be a soul-winner for God? Then you need to give your heart to God, I have three simple points for this message.
1. Exchange
What I mean by exchange is that God is not just asking for your heart, he wants your heart. God wants your heart so much that he gave it all by sending his son, Jesus, who also gave it all.
John 3:16–17 – For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son to condemn the world but to save the world through him.
There is nothing that can compare for all he’s done. Your heart is priceless! God has promised you that he will change your life; he has promised that you are saved and will go to heaven. I know his promise is unbreakable!
Aren’t you at least willing to give your heart to a Great God like ours? Aren’t you at least wondering about all the possibilities that can happen if you take that one step of faith?
But then again, why should I give my heart to God, you ask? As usual, God has the answer to that!
2. Empower
God does not want your heart for no reason; he has a plan, a purpose for what he will do. But first he has to empower us, motivate us, and teach us through good and bad times.
James 1:4 – Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
I just want to describe it like a builder building a tower. The taller/bigger the tower is going to be, the deeper and stronger the foundation needs to be, in order to support the tower with ease. Now if there is a bad foundation built, the tower could collapse and damage many things surrounding it.
It's just like humans, if we don’t have a strong foundation to stand on, and we fall, it affects the people around us as well! So God is building a strong foundation for us, and for generations to come. Just remember, when God blesses us, it’s not just ourselves that reap the rewards.
It’s the people around us and even people yet to come that are blessed, because they will step off the platform that you have risen to, and God will continue your good works that he has done with you in others as well. The cycle goes on.
Again, at the beginning, you need to let God empower you and equip you because Satan is working overtime and he is going to launch a ‘missile’ because you are with God and he is scared of you because he knows that with God by your side, you can achieve great things!
The choice is yours whether to give your heart to God. Once you give your heart to God, he won’t hold back, after all he sent his Son from heaven to Earth, so I have no doubt that he won’t hold back.
3. Establish
Just earlier, I mentioned about stepping off a platform, God is working with you to establish a platform. Whether it is through church, school or work, we all have different callings but God gave them to us personally for a reason, so that he can establish platforms throughout the world to attract different people.
After all, we all have different interests and desires. A great example of building a platform that I know of would probably be about my dad who I believe is a great man of God. He has established a solid platform for his family, and God has told him to not stop there.
So my dad is now teaching me and bringing me up in the household whilst he can so that when I’m ready, I can step off his platform and continue God’s work and have a family built on a solid foundation. Who knows what we can achieve?!
God is working to build a platform in your life, so work with him. Sow the good seeds; make the right choices that line up with the Word of God. So you can reap the great rewards in the near future.
Conclusion: Are you ready? This will be one of the biggest decisions you will make because it can save your life. I have to say this; I am going to be brutally honest because there is no way around it.
If you haven’t given your heart to God, then you are serving the devil, by being slaves to sin. You either serve God or the devil. But that’s what makes it the ‘Good News’, God has given us a second chance, by saving us through His Son.
John 14:6 – Jesus answered, “I am they way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
I just want to pray for a breakthrough if you need it, I want to pray that you will encounter God personally, that you will realise that he is more than just a god, he is THE God. Let’s all stand up and worship God, If you feel that God is speaking to you, urging you to come, Please do so and I’ll will pray for you.
