I Love You
Give them the flowers while you may
Before life turns and they drift away
Give them the flowers while you may
Thank them for praying the fever down
Causing the night fears to turn around
Give them the flowers while you may
Thank them for fixing the scrapes and cuts
While growing up from a childhood klutz
Give them the flowers while you may
Thank them for repairing the favorite bike
So no need to continue to walk or hike
Give them the flowers while you may
Thank them for sewing that prom dress
In hopes to relieve the teen-age stress
Give them the flowers while you may
Thank them for faithfulness at the game
To watch that homerun yours to fame
Give them the flowers while you may
Thank them for easing the sleepless nights
As the sun beams to a young hearts delight
Give them the flowers while you may
When their hair turns from blond to grey
As they struggle in life to find the way
Give them the flowers while you may
Please don't wait to that sad final hour
Looking down to earth's closing power
Give them the flowers while you may
A merchant once posted a sign which read, "Free Food Tomorrow". However, tomorrow never came.
"But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin" (Hebrews 3:13).
You can't live the past today. Nor, can you live tomorrow today. You have only today. So, live in it. Don't burden today with yesterday's broken promises. And don't put off today's desires, hoping for tomorrow. For tomorrow never comes.
"Rejoice , O young man, in thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment. Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity".(Ecclesiastes 11:9, 10)
To do nothing, as far as your friends and relatives are concerned, for fear of making a mistake is wrong.
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth".(2 Timothy 2:15)
