by William Mcginnis
(Lincoln City, Oregon)
I wake up with God and get ready to go fishing for souls;
I strap on my shoes and start the heavenly stroll;
I get to the dock and get into heavy thought;
for today I'm not catching one but going for the whole flock;
I get out my pole of faith and hook of hope;
put on the holy bait and cast with a prayer like so;
a nible then a bite and then I snag;
for I've caught another soul the devil can't have.
