AS A CHRISTIAN- ARE YOU MAKING AN IMPRESSION OR IMPACT

“If you will fear the Lord and serve Him, and listen to His voice and not rebel against the command of the Lord, then both you and also the king who reigns over you will follow the Lord your God” (I Samuel 12:14). “But now your kingdom will not endure. The Lord has sought out for Himself a man after His own heart, and the Lord has appointed him as ruler over His people, because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you” (I Samuel 13:14).

Here's a question for you, as a believer in Jesus Christ. Do you want to make an impression or an impact with your life ? That question touches every area of our lives. It is searching, pointed, pertinent, and powerful.

The dictionary explains it this way
IMPRESSION- an idea, feeling, or opinion about something or someone .
IMPACT- having a strong effect on someone or something.

Someone special may leave an impression on you. Whereas, you may have an impact on someone else. In other words, the teachings of the true gospel (1 Cor 15:1-4) may leave a positive impression on your life. Then in doing so, you may go out and make an impact for the gospel. To seek to make an impression is to make a display. To seek to make an impact is to make a difference. To seek to make an impression centers on people. To seek to make an impact centers on Christ.

Let me impact Your Glory Lord
As I move day by day
Let me impact Your grace Lord
As I walk along the way
Let me impact Your mercy Lord
So that I will never stray
Let me impact Your faith Lord
As I serve You where You may

Let me impact Your voice Lord
As I make You my choice
Let me impact Your voice Lord
As in You I rejoice
Let me impact Your voice Lord
As in Your love I now joist
Let me impact Your voice Lord
As forever Your name to hoist

A question ! Will the world remember that you were in it? Or, will the world remember that Jesus was in you ? (Philippians 1:21)
