O that will be glory for me.
Am I home yet
I see all the Prophets both great and small
As they line Heavens jasper wall
Am I home yet
I see the Apostles sharing stories of old
As they shine with the floors of pure gold
Am I home yet
I see those who died for the gospel cause
As they stand worthy of the others applause
Am I home yet
I see all my loved ones at the entrance gate
Just looking for us all as they patiently wait
Am I home yet
I see all my friends who have gone before
Sitting around talking of good times to adore
Am I home yet
Where's my neighbor who promised to come
Was his story for real or was he being mum
Am I home yet
Please Lord wake me so I may still have time
To talk of your love while still in my prime
Am I home yet
For many are dying and lost without You
Of Your wonderful grace they haven't a clue
Am I home yet
If only by faith they will reach out and hope
By reading and seeing salvations scope
Am I home yet
Lord don't let me enter heavens glory land
Until friends and loved ones take Your Stand
Am I home yet
From my very youth, I have sang hymns and have heard many preachers surmise what Heaven will be like. And how wonderful it will be, over there.
But wait a minute, what about my friends and loved ones, here on earth, not being there to share God's wonderful grace forever because of not accepting God's free grace by their faith of the finished work of Cavalry's cross.
Oh Lord, please give me the right words to say, when the occasion arises. Eternal separation from God, forever and ever, would be terrible. Especially for the ones I love.
We often times sing my grand-fathers favorite old hymn, " Oh That Will Be Glory For Me". And what a tenor voice he had. Brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it.
When all my labors and trials are o’er,
And I am safe on that beautiful shore,
Just to be near the dear Lord I adore,
Will through the ages be glory for me.
O that will be glory for me,
Glory for me, glory for me,
When by His grace I shall look on His face,
That will be glory, be glory for me.
When, by the gift of His infinite grace,
I am accorded in Heaven a place,
Just to be there and to look on His face,
Will through the ages be glory for me.
Friends will be there I have loved long ago;
Joy like a river around me will flow;
Yet just a smile from my Savior, I know,
Will through the ages be glory for me.
So, let us get busy about "The Father's" business, that of witnessing of His wonderful free Grace.
" For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.". (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Amen !!
