“Hello, my friend, my name is Temptation,
But no introduction is needed.
Oh no, my friend, we have our relation,
Through all my prompts you’ve heeded.
You’ve always known me, I’ve been there
Always by your side.
And whenever it’s hard, you always seem to care,
You take me along for the ride.
Sometimes, my friend, you leave me alone,
I don’t like being ignored.
You don’t care, or so you’ve shown,
When I’m knocking at your door.
You don’t listen quite so often,
Or heed the words I say,
Perhaps you’ve heard from enemy Conscience,
And let him change your ways.
If that’s what you want, let it be,
But you will have less fun.
My name is Temptation; I’ll set you free…
That is, until the race is run.”
